Welcome to HaMakom!

HaMakom is Hebrew for “The Place”. Wherever we meet, is “The Place”! And we would love to meet you there! We hold regular Shabbat (Saturday) morning services at Grace Church in Fairfield, CA, 1405 Kentucky St. HaMakom also is a Name for the DIvine – in that context is means “Omnipresence”. Wherever you go, there It Is! And so are you! Meet you there!

Congregation HaMakom is the intimate, spiritual, educational, integral, actual “on-the-ground” congregation where Rabbi Steve leads meditations, services and learning on most Saturday mornings in Solano County. We are a small Jewish congregation founded in 2000 meeting in various places throughout Solano County, with regular Saturday morning meetings in Fairfeld, as well as various other services, celebrations, learning and events throughout the County.

Congregation HaMakom is “post-denominational”, and non-doctrinal (unorthodox). While we honor and love tradition, we see it more like jazz, pop, and/or rock music, as opposed to classical. The rules are a way to engage in serious play with the Divine Mind of the Universe.
